Miguel Gavaldón, Director of Development
Miguel Gavaldón has worked in the nonprofit sector since 1993 with groups dedicated to various causes ranging from youth development, sexual-reproductive health, community organizing, action-research and social justice. Since 2005, he has served as the Equal Justice Society’s director of development. At EJS, Gavaldón also provides staff support to EJS’s “grand alliance” strategy, specifically, helping increase support for immigrants’ rights from the civil rights, legal and African American communities. Previously, he served as co-director and development director at the DataCenter in Oakland, California. He also served as executive director at Fresno Barrios Unidos and at the San Rafael Canal Ministry.
