Andrew Barlow teaches sociology at the University of California at Berkeley and at Diablo Valley College. He is the author of "Between Fear and Hope: Globalization and Race in the United States." Professor Barlow has been active in the civil rights movement for many years, most recently with the efforts to stop the passage of Propositions 209 and 54 in California, and as plaintiff in a lawsuit concerning racial data, Barlow v. Davis.
