Survey: National Progressive Communicators Convening
The Equal Justice Society, the National Campaign to Restore Civil Rights and other organizations are working on a convening of progressive communicators, attorneys and activists from social justice organizations to discuss approaches and processes for collaborating on communications related to federal court litigation, judicial nominations, and reform efforts linked to developments in the courts.
You’ve arrived at this page because you have already been briefed on our idea for this convening (or you were provided a backgrounder) and we hope for your input on date and location.
We’re considering two options:
(1) A convening in late spring, early summer, in Washington D.C. or on the Northeast corridor (most likely in May or June 2010).
(2) A convening held July 21 or 22 in Las Vegas shortly before Netroots Nation, which is July 22-25. Netroots Nation is the annual gathering of progressive activists, originally organized by readers and writers of Daily Kos, which in 2009 featured Bill Clinton, Howard Dean, Valerie Jarrett, Nan Aron, Tom Saenz and Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Jr., among others.
Under either option, attendees would have to cover their own travel and lodging costs.
Please fill out the survey below by Noon PT on Thursday, February 11, to help us in our decision.
