November 18, 2004 update: Because of the uncertainty surrounding the hotel workers' labor dispute, the Equal Justice Society has moved the First Annual EJS Benefit, the presentation of Port Chicago: Suite for Jazz Orchestra. Please make a note of this change, and communicate it to any guests you may have invited. The evening promises to be fantastic with delicious food, drinks, and a wonderful premiere of civil rights-inspired music!

The event will still be held on Wednesday, December 8, starting with a reception at 6:00 pm followed by the program and performance promptly at 7:30 pm.

New Venue:
The Regency Center
1290 Sutter Street at
Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco

Public transportation is plentiful along the Van Ness Avenue corridor, and parking garages are available at: 1355 & 1395 Sutter, 1101 Van Ness Avenue, and Polk and Bush.

Tickets are still available by calling 415.355.9988.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ron Wong and Associates, our event coordinator, at the above number or via email at EJS@wongway.net. We look forward to seeing you on December 8th!

This event benefits the Equal Justice Society, a national organization of scholars, advocates and concerned individuals advancing creative legal strategies and public policy for enduring social change. As heirs of the innovative legal and political strategists of Brown v. Board of Education, EJS will marshal our forces to defeat the right wing assault on social and racial justice. Our goal is to reshape jurisprudence to ensure that the rights of all are expanded, rather than diminished, by our courts and policy makers.
