Maninder Kahlon
Maninder
Kahlon, also known as Mini, manages programs in education
and the workplace at the Level Playing Field Institute
(LPFI). Through the "Cultures of Bias in the Workplace"
program, LPFI explores and raises awareness around how
workplace prejudice operates. Key initiatives include
a national-level poll on perceptions of workplace fairness
(HOW-FAIR) and the launch of stereotyping.org, which will
use creative and thought-provoking narratives and facts
to expose the irrational underbelly of stereotyping. Mini
received her doctorate in Neuroscience from UCSF, and
among other honors was a finalist for the Donald B. Lindsley
prize awarded by the Society for Neuroscience. Her on-the-ground
activism includes leading and working with the all-volunteer
Alliance of South Asians Taking Action (ASATA) in their
Bay Area work around civil rights for immigrant communities.
